4X Increase in Pakistan’s Internet Bandwidth Capacity with New 24Tbps Cable Under the Sea
Now Pakistanis are going to enjoy the high speed internet in Pakistan. SEA-ME-WE-5 has declared the completion of 20,000 km long fiber cable that will give fast internet speed through TWA landing station in Karachi Pakistan. This cable is under the sea waters.
TWA will be managing the SEA-ME-WE-5 in Pakistan. TWA and other 16 top companies from various countries are taking part in this process. This rout will give 24Tbps of additional internet to Pakistan.
This 20,000Km long (SEA-ME-WE-5) cable will connect Singapore, Europe (Italy and France) and traverses Indonesia, Pakistan, Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, UAE, Yemen, Oman, Djibouti and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The end users will not be getting the faster speed immediately after the increase in internet speed. Now ISPs and other telecom operators have more chances of buying wider pipes to increase the speed and benefit the end user.
You might now that Pakistan’s total internet capacity is around 7 Tbps and now with SEA-ME-WE-5 going live, it will increase up 31 Tbps.
